The Least Generation
There is a constant ebb and flow in the strength of individual rights in this country. Unfortunately these rights have been ebbing of late under what I call "The Least Generation". This generation, of which I am to my great regret a member, has dropped the torch passed to it by "The Greatest Generation". Not only has this torch been dropped, it has been trampled under foot by spoiled pseudo-intellects having no idea of what they have been given.
A generation that fought great wars and otherwise endured great hardships to preserve the fllame of liberty of future generations of Americans has been subverted by the inheritors of this precious legacy. Individual freedom to choose has been replaced by, ironically enough, the edicts of a faceless proletariat. What was once referred to as the freedom of speech movement has become ingrained in our governmental institutions to such an extent as to become more of a threat to Americans than any bogeyman that could have been imagined during the turbulent coming of age of The Least Generation.
This proletariat deems itself above the law as it works to remove individual rights from the classroom, the public square, and any other forum where ideas and concepts might be discussed and examined. Whether it is the public school official or judge who injects their own personal beliefs into adminstrative and legal proceedings and judgements the effect is the same. Those who ignore the law and choose to impose their own value system or world view upon others have no business being in a position to enforce the law.
Much of the current flouting of law and tradition in this country is the direct related to The Least Generation and its rejection of traditions, values, and freedoms that have served this country well for over 200 years. May God see us through as a nation and may the twisted perspective of The Least Generation apparatchiks die with their passing. This passing cannot come quickly enough.
